Sound Defying Entertainment started in 2001 by Mike and Matt. A good friend in the DJ Business was upgrading his equipment. They decided to enter the business and purchased much of his old equipment. Sound Defying Entertainment quickly grew and was the primary DJ service for most Hanover Township events including Teen Dances and Opening Ceremonies for the township sports. Matt left the company and moved to Maryland to become a Police Officer, he still DJs in Maryland on occasion when his schedule permits. Mike still runs the company and has performed at a record number of events, year after year.

We are also a NJ State DJ Vendor and hold the necessary amount of insurance per state guidelines. NJ State, County, Town Governments, State Colleges and Public Schools contact us for your event!

Our DJs

DJ/MC Mike - Mike is the owner of Sound Defying Entertainment. Mike started SDE in 2001 when he was 17 and has entertained at hundreds of events over the past 9 years from Cape May, NJ up to Upstate New York and over to PA. Mike is always on top of the latest music and will never be caught without the newest hit.

DJ/MC Anthony - Anthony, a Graduate of Seton Hall University, has been entertaining at countless events for the past 10 years. He is our top MC and is sure to talk you into getting onto the dance floor to have a great time.

DJ/MC Gary - Gary started his music career at 16 when he became the drummer for a band. Gary has been a Mobile DJ for just over 16 years now. Before that he DJ'd at various clubs. He's experienced in all styles of music, and is the perfect fit for any type of party.

Lighting Technician Chris - Chris is new to Sound Defying Entertainment but has already showed some very promising light shows for us. We look forward to seeing Chris' lighting skills grown with us.
